"Walk," A Multimedia Collaboration with German Photographer Holger Thoss

This collaboration between award-winning German photographer Holger Thoss and Cuban pianist and composer Aruán Ortiz illustrates, through a series of powerful photos and the soundtrack of Aruán Ortiz, the devastating impact that COVID-19 had in New York City in Spring 2020.

It is also the story of how people and communities faced hard times, honoring their resilience, fight, and how they persevere and move on regardless.

You are invited to watch the premier of “Walk,” on a gigantic screen on the façade of the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library every Monday in July (5, 12, 19, 26) 2021 at sunset (around 9pm) as part of the Cinema Ephemera visual playlist exhibition.
